The appointee shall have strong background in the field of organic optoelectronics and OLED technology. They should have good publication track record and demonstrated expertise in research field. They should be responsible and able to work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external parties, including academics and industry partners. They should also have good analytical skills, and a good command of English and Chinese. The appointee will work on a research project led by Professor C. M. Che, focusing on the commercialization of R&D outcomes, with support from government, industry, and academia. The appointee will be responsible for the advancement of OLED device performance based on our proprietary materials. The appointee will develop and implement the technology strategy in alignment with research goals, define specifications and performance requirements with the research team, and stay abreast of the latest advancements in OLED display technology. He/she will oversee R&D activities related to OLED emitters and devices, providing technical guidance and leadership to optimize device performance and efficiency, as well as developing prototypes for wearable devices. Additionally, the appointee will build and establish strategic relationships with industry partners, research institutes, manufacturers, and suppliers to leverage emerging technologies, industry trends, and collaborative opportunities. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Airport Administrator & Document Control Officer to join our Airport team. This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively across a diverse range of airport functions, including Airport Operations, Safety, Air Traffic Control, Engineering, Fire and Rescue Services, and Fixed Base Operations (FBO), supporting a safe, efficient, and compliant operation. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing administrative and document control support across the organisation, ensuring effective coordination between departments while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Airport team, undertaking a range of duties including the raising of purchase orders, processing Airside Pass applications, and coordinating projects that contribute to the ongoing development of Cranfield Airport's capabilities and services. The Vietnamese-German University (VGU) is seeking a highly qualified full-time lecturer in Signal Processing & Machine Learning. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in this field or a closely related field and have a strong background in research. Relevant international experience is of advantage. The successful candidate will become part of an international network of universities and research institutes. Teaching Responsibilities In the role of a lecturer, the successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) program. The expected workload for the in-class lecture conduction is 08 academic hours per week, totaling 240 academic hours per year (1 academic hour equals to 45 minutes). Teaching should reflect current research methods and results, and comprises lectures on the following modules: Analog Signals and Systems (45AH) Digital Signals & Systems (45AH) Machine Learning (45AH) Operating Systems/Computer Architecture (45AH) Computer Vision/Image Processing (45AH) Software Engineering (45AH) The named courses are subject to change upon realistic needs of the programs and joint agreement between the lecturer, relevant Academic Coordinators, and Dean/Vice Dean in charge of teaching. Courses may require conducting relevant laboratory activities and/or advising student projects. The holder of this job is also responsible for supervising bachelor's and master's theses and mentoring PhD students. Research Responsibilities As a faculty member of a research-oriented university, the successful candidate is expected to significantly contribute to the scientific profile of VGU through innovation. This includes and is not limited to comprehensive activities in basic research as well as applied research in the fields of Signal Processing, Data Analytics and Machine Learning, and Deep Learning/Computer Vision along with knowledge and experience in Artificial Intelligence and Database Management Systems. The ability to apply and generate externally funded research projects is highly desirable. Administrative responsibilities The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the development of the ECE program by participating in administrative, marketing and other public activities of the program in consultation with the Academic Coordinator of the study program and the German partner universities. She or he is also expected to contribute actively to the academic self-administration of the Faculty of Engineering and university by being willing to stand for election to the Faculty Council, Academic Senate and/or other bodies. Qualification Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Electronics, Computer Engineering, Communications & Signal Processing, Data Science and Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field, preferably from a well-known international university. A current title of Professor will be a plus, as experience and understanding of the German higher education system and methodology. Other requirements include: An outstanding academic record with a focus on Analog and Digital Signal Processing, Machine Learning or other areas closely related to it; Knowledge in Software Engineering, Communications Engineering, Artificial Intelligence; Strong track record of successful research activities and publications in international and peer-reviewed journals in the related area; Proven teaching experience with strong self-motivation combined with a passion for teaching and research; Experience in industry is of advantage; Proven excellent English proficiency: Candidates who are from non-native English-speaking countries should include one of the following valid English proficiency certificates; IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 548(PBT), TOEFL 84 (iBT), TOEFL 212 (CBT), CEFR level B2 or Aptis level C1 at the time of application submission.
