Akiko Morozumi: universities need to respond with big ideas and creativity

´¡°ì¾±°ì´ÇÌýMorozumi, associate professor at the University of Tokyo Graduate School of Education, discusses the challenges that the Japanese higher education system, among others, faces in wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.

She particularly notes the high tuition costs, increased online access and lack of in-person facilities that will be challenging for universities to address. These changes, she believes, will cause universities to undergo a major transformationÌýin the near future.Ìý
