The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in collaboration with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is organising a workshop on the role of information and communication technologies (ICT) in the automotive sector, to be held in Geneva from 2 to 4 March.

'The fully networked car: a workshop on ICT in vehicles,' will take place during the Geneva International Motor Show.

Systems that allow communication with nearby vehicles and the pan-European emergency call system will be among the topics under discussion.
