Getting thrown out of Liverpool University for taking part in a 1970s student protest was the best thing that ever happened to him, Channel 4 frontman Jon Snow told the university's student newspaper. He still feels he was expelled by "kangaroo courts" and has never been back to the university, but says if he had stayed "I would have been a tedious old lawyer by now".
