A plan to attract research funding to South Wales and the West Country was launched this week through collaboration between the dental schools of the universities of Bristol and Cardiff and the Peninsula Dental School in Plymouth. Jonathan Sandy, head of Bristol Dental School, said: "The three schools cover an area that accounts for 10 per cent of the UK population."
