Sarah Michelle Gellar - the actress who stars in Buffy the Vampire Slayer - is being considered for a film role as a tough New Yorker who attends an elite London university.
The actress is favourite for the lead part in A Semester Abroad , which is to be shot next year, according to Variety magazine. She would play a student from a tough neighbourhood whose no-nonsense approach puts her at odds with her posh classmates after she wins a scholarship to study in Britain.
Ms Gellar, 25, currently stars as Daphne in the film Scooby-Doo .
