Brussels, 30 Sep 2005

The European Commission's Information Society and Media DG has published a call for tenders for the final evaluation of eEurope 2005.

The evaluation will be expected to take account of, assess and build on analyses already undertaken of progress and impacts of eEurope 2005 and Modinis.

More specifically, the principal objectives of the evaluation of eEurope and Modinis will be to provide an assessment of their relevance, effectiveness and impact, efficiency and utility. An overarching aim of the evaluation is to assess the EU added value of these initiatives; their impacts at national level; and lessons to be learned that may inform work programme development for i2010. In contributing to better understanding of impact, the evaluation is expected to offer explanatory, and where possible, causal linkages.
