Television bosses are searching for teams that won University Challenge to participate in a "champions of champions" match to mark the programme's 40th birthday.
Some 18 shows are due to be transmitted from next month. They will feature archived highlights to remind viewers of each team's initial appearance. The viewers will hear from the various teams about their experiences and the memories associated with the year in which they won.
