The Commission's Enterprise DG has published a call for tenders relating to the collection, analysis and exploitation of results obtained from ongoing innovation projects.

The purpose of this specific support action (SSA) is to leverage the impact of the activities undertaken by European networks and projects emerging from the actions on 'Entrepreneurial innovation and sectors', 'Entrepreneurial innovation and clusters' and 'Networking innovation actors by sectors' (Work Programme 'Research and Innovation', points 1.2.1.2, 1.2.1.3, 1.2.1.4).

The contractor will collect and analyse information on their work and help them with promoting, validating and disseminating their results and best practices. In addition, they will identify similar innovation actions at European, national and regional level and establish, mainly through virtual networking, effective ways of cooperating with them. This call will be aimed at service providers working in the field of IT, marketing and business communication and innovation management consultancy and advice.

The proposed activity will be essential in the exploitation of the results stemming from innovation projects. It will make them accessible and usable for a wide range of key innovation actors (policy makers, companies, incubators, and financing bodies). It will actively contribute to the extraction of lessons from Framework Programme research projects and the promotion of entrepreneurial innovation, which is the object of the contracts as defined by the work programme of the specific programme 2 for research and innovation, 'Structuring the European Research Area' of the Sixth Framework Programme (2002-2006).
