Colloquium: 'European research major challenges', Brussels

A colloquium on major challenges in European research will take place in Brussels, Belgium, on 22 September.

Organised by the French Atomic Energy Commission (Commissariat à l'énergie atomique, CEA), this event will associate all the institutional European stakeholders, together with the European scientific and industrial communities interested in the future of EU research.

Three main issues will be addressed:
- contribution of large-scale facilities to the excellence of European research;
-·scientific and industrial partnerships in the EU, for knowledge and innovation;
- today's technological and scientific challenges.

Participants will have the opportunity to debate with researchers from CEA and their European partners during round tables. Representatives of the European Commission and the European Parliament will close the event.
