The 19th international joint conference on artificial intelligence - IJCAI-05 - will take place in Edinburgh, Scotland, from 30 July to 5 August.

Hosted by the British Artificial Intelligence Society BCS-SGAI, in collaboration with the University of Edinburgh, IJCAI is the main international gathering of researchers in AI.

Presentations by international experts make up the technical programme, complemented by tutorials and workshops to be held at the University of Edinburgh. The proceedings of these conferences constitute one of the primary archival sources for literature on artificial intelligence.

The conference also includes a three-day technology exchange and exhibition, comprising a host of displays designed to showcase current products, publications, research and applications in artificial intelligence.
