The irritation that archaeologists feel at Channel 4's Time Team has spilled onto the net. A website hosted by Edinburgh com-pany, Backtrack Archaeology, urges action. "You are the Upper Chigley Archaeology Society and have just received word that the Time Team intend to come to your sleepy village . . . but your elite team of keen amateurs are not invited," it declares. It urges throwing glasses of beer and filling in their trenches with turf to stop the team digging.
