Trombonist Christopher Day, who has just graduated from Queen's University Belfast with a first-class degree, will head east to study at the Hochschule fur Musik und Theater Hannover after catching the ear of visiting professor Jonas Bylund. But it could all have been so different: while he was at Queen's he also appeared in a special performance with boyband Westlife.
