Janez Potocnik, European Commissioner for Science and Research, will today tell the joint congress of European innovation networks and science parks in Nantes that the Commission's proposal for a new Framework Programme for Research and Development is relevant to industry and its ability to innovate. He will particularly detail the ways in which the Seventh Framework Programme and the complementary Competitiveness and Innovation Programme will support and promote small and medium-sized enterprises, and draw attention to the importance of investing in Europe's future growth and prosperity...
