Brussels, 29 Jun 2005
The first international conference on open source systems will take place in Genoa, Italy, from 11 to 15 July.
OSS2005 will provide a forum to discuss theories, practices, experiences, and tools
relating to development and applications of OSS systems, with a specific focus on two
aspects:
- the development of open source systems and the underlying technical, social, and
economic issues;
- the adoption of OSS solutions and the implications of such adoption both in the
public and in the private sector.
The conference is also meant to provide information and education to practitioners, identify directions for further research, and to be an ongoing platform for technology transfer.
