Alumnus to be proud of no 65 is John T. Myers, a Republican member of the House of Representatives from Indiana recently rated by George magazine as one of the top-10 pork-barrelers (securer of funding for his electorate) in the House.

What caught the judges' eye was his relationship with Indiana State University. Republican Myers, a member of the House Appropriations Committee, succeeded in securing $6.6 million for the university's planned Centre for Interdisciplinary Research and Education. The unit was never built, and ISU decided instead to give the money to its science department. Republican Myers, is surprisingly enough, a graduate of Indiana State University.
