The 2006 call for proposals - the last under the current IEE programme - has been published. European organisations can apply for financial support for their projects until 31 October 2006. Approximately € 50 million will be made available to co-finance up to 50% of the project costs. Organisations from EU Member States, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein can apply.
If you plan to submit a proposal for a European project, one-off event or the creation of a local/regional energy agency:
- read carefully the text of the to find out which actions may be funded, this year's priorities, the conditions to apply, the evaluation criteria, and how to submit your proposal;
- read the to obtain more details on the priorities and policy context;

- investigate the state of the art and avoid duplicating ongoing work by checking out the supported under the IEE programme;
- attend which will help you prepare your application and find partners;

- send a 1 to 2 page outline of your proposal to working in the relevant area to obtain early feeback on your ideas and plans ("pre-proposal check");
- find suitable project partners, e.g. by using the
- organise your project, define your budget and write your proposal using the relevant application forms and following the instructions provided in the guides for proposers (to be provided soon in the call documents area);
- submit your application before the deadline (31 October 2006);

Attention: the IEE programme does not finance "hardware" type investments (installations, infrastructure, technical research and development projects...)
