Major players grab jobs

A company in Thailand is using a 4,000-year-old Chinese board game to decide whether to employ applicants for graduate jobs.

The convenience-store chain 7-11 is using Go - a strategy game - to determine whether the applicants are team players.

Company chief executive Korsak Chairasmisak told The Bangkok Post : "In the past we only considered university degrees and grades, and an applicant's skill in handling the job interview.

"It gave us the top people but some couldn't work as a member of team and even looked down on their colleagues. I'm very happy with what we have done."
