UK academics may be tired of the growing culture of plagiarism, but things could be worse. Cheating during university entrance examinations in Nigeria is so rife that officials are considering the use of closed-circuit TV cameras in an effort to stamp out fraud.

Up to 96,000 of the 877,000 candidates who took this year's matriculation exam have had their results cancelled. The new measures to stamp out cheating will include a dress code to stop students distracting invigilators with raunchy attire.
