More to bars than beer

Coventry University student Stephen Brookes has been commissioned to create a series of radio programmes on pub culture.

As part of his final-year media project for a degree in communication, culture and media, Mr Brookes interviewed publicans and found that pubs no longer cater just for ale drinkers but offer a range of coffees, hot meals and other fare too. He made a radio programme detailing these different approaches to attracting customers.

Now the Beer and Pub Association has commissioned three more programmes to be used as training aids for publicans to learn how they might do things differently and better.
