Former Wolves, Charlton, Millwall and Sheffield Wednesday footballer Lawrie Madden is set to teach an MA in sports broadcast journalism at Staffordshire University. Students will be put through their paces in the art of commentary and hopefully how to avoid gaffes that can make or break careers.
But the big question is whether the aspiring John Motsons will have to wear a gown or a sheepskin coat to collect their degrees.
