The ninth international human genome meeting, HGM2004, will be held from 4 to 7 April 2004 in Berlin, Germany.

The event is specifically designed to update and increase the knowledge of scientists and businesses on the human genome, through a range of lectures, symposia, workshops, and social events.

Scientific topics for discussion will include:
- comparative genomics;
- promoter and gene structure;
- analysis of gene expression;
- proteomics and structural genomics;
- genome wide analysis of gene function
