Radioactive effluents from nuclear power stations and nuclear fuel reprocessing sites in the European Union, 1999 - 2003

ABSTRACT

The report covers nuclear power stations of a capacity greater than 50 MWe and nuclear fuel reprocessing plants in the European Union prior to the latest enlargement of the Union to 25 Member States in 2004. Data on radioactive airborne and liquid effluent discharges are given for the period 1999 - 2003, expressed in GBq/annum. As far as practicable, data are presented in accordance with nuclide categories and radionuclide listings as defined in Commission Recommendation 2004/2/EURATOM.
