The Romanian ministry of education, research and youth, with support from the EU, is organising a seminar on intellectual property rights for biotechnology in Bucharest on 12 December.
The event is aimed at Romanian scientists seeking to apply in practice the principles of EU Directive on the legal protection of biotechnological inventions.
The programme of the seminar includes:
- biotechnological inventions as a subject of intellectual property rights;
- presentation of EU Directive , the TRIPS agreement and Budapest Treaty and practical guides;
- a bioethical debate about patenting of life sciences;
- case studies based on problems raised by IPR of micro organisms, plants and animals.
