Two new chiefs

The Diary congratulates Geoffrey Crossick, pro vice-chancellor of the University of Essex, on his appointment as chief executive of the Arts and Humanities Research Board.

Professor Crossick is expected to oversee the board's metamorphosis into a research council.

Congratulations also to Jim Cuno, professor of the history of art and architecture at Harvard University, who has been appointed director of the Courtald Institute of Art.
