Two films on the Freemasons have been brought to the screen by the University of Sheffield's Centre for Research into Freemasonry, with the help of Showroom Cinema. Forces Occultes, a propaganda film made in the 1940s, portrays Freemasons and Jews trying to encourage France to go to war against Germany. It was screened with English subtitles for the first time earlier this month. The second film, The Scottish Key, explores different theories about the origins of Freemasonry and draws on new documents. The film will be screened on 10 November at the Showroom Cinema on Paternoster Row in Sheffield.
