Sunderland
"The trees haven't changed but all the people are dead," said Sheila Graber, on her return to Sunderland University late in 2004.

As senior research and teaching fellow in animation, she is lecturing in classrooms she last sat in as a student in 1959.

Ms Graber, an internationally acclaimed animator, is teaching classic animation techniques and helping students understand the demands of a career in the creative industries. As part of her research work, Ms Graber will write a book on creativity, including animation. "Everyone's an artist in their own way and your job as a teacher is to bring that out," she said.
