A workshop on 'Finance in EU research projects' will take place on 14 November in Cambridge, UK.

The financial guidelines for EU-funded research projects in the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) fill a 250-page manual, and are supported by audit guidelines, reporting guidelines and much more. They cover everything from eligible costs to interest earned on advance payments, from payment terms to penalties, from subcontracting to social costs. Through lectures and exercises, this workshop will draw on real experience to give participants a practical interpretation of the EU's financial rules and guidelines. It will also provide a description of the changes proposed for FP7, which is due to start in 2007.
