A workshop on food safety and quality management systems will take place in Ghent, Belgium, on 16 and 17 March.

The event is organised by PathogenCombat, a project funded under the EU's Sixth Framework Programme (FP6). The objective of the workshop is to give a general introduction to the development of food safety and quality management systems as seen by the project consortium.

The programme includes workshops on quality management systems and monitoring pathogens, as well as presentations on new trends in emerging pathogens, training tools for food quality managers and future prospects.
