Fifty chuffed academics will receive their National Teaching Fellowships from the Higher Education Academy next week at a glamorous ceremony in London's Middle Temple Hall. New fellows are known to decamp to the late bar for celebratory drinks while in the capital for the annual shindig. But this year it will be back to the grindstone early for those with sore heads: the academy launches its competition for project grants for fellows the next morning.
