Central University is one of the largest private universities in Ghana and is located in Dawhenya in the Greater Accra Region.

The university traces its origins to 1988, when it was established as a pastoral training institute. It later evolved into Central Bible College and then Central Christian College before becoming Central University in 1998. It was granted a Presidential Charter in 2016, marking its transition to full university status.

Central University is organised into multiple schools and faculties including business, law, theology, applied sciences, arts and social sciences, pharmacy, architecture and health sciences. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

The university operates across several campuses including Miotso, which serves as its main campus, as well as Mataheko, Kumasi and the Christ Temple Graduate School.

Student life is shaped by a values-led environment with emphasis on leadership, integrity and personal development. Students participate in academic communities, extracurricular activities and faith-based engagement alongside their studies.
