Cranfield School of Management is a high-ranking business school that forms part of Cranfield University near Milton Keynes in Bedfordshire, the UK’s only completely postgraduate university specialising in science, technology, engineering and management. The school has been triple accredited since 2001 by the Association of MBAs (AMBA), EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Home to the largest specialist logistics and supply chain management faculty in Europe, the school is particularly renowned for its MSc in logistics and supply chain management, as well as its MSc in finance and management, its MSc in management and its MBA programme. Along with other departments, the school also provides programmes for the Defence Academy UK, which trains the UK Armed Forces and Ministry of Defence Civil Servants. The school is equipped with a Bloomberg suite, which gives access to live financial services news and data on industries, markets, economic indicators, equities, bonds and derivatives. The Cranfield MBA comprises about 100 students, mostly international, in a full-time, one-year programme. PhDs can be done on a full-time or part-time basis, except for the International Executive Doctorate, which is done on a part-time basis. The school has partnerships with universities across the world, such as Kobe University in Japan, Melbourne Business School in ߣߣƵ and the University of Chile. In November 2024, the University of Hong Kong LKS Faculty of Medicine (HKUMed) was appointed as the operator of GBAICTI. In December 2025, the Real-World Study and Application Centre (RWSAC) was established under GBAICTI to open up local health and medical databases and promote collaboration between Hong Kong and other GBA cities. We are now seeking a high-calibre professional to join the RWSAC (located at Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Zone) as Chief Data Scientist. Duties and Responsibilities Manage, process, and analyse complex real-world healthcare datasets to generate insights and evidence. Develop and implement data pipelines for the ingestion, curation, and transformation of RWD into the common data model. Conduct advanced statistical analyses and epidemiological studies on RWD. Collaborate with the Research Coordinators and Project Managers to define analysis plans and ensure data quality for specific projects. Prepare analysis datasets, reports, and visualisations for both internal stakeholders and external clients/sponsors. Requirements Ph.D. degree or above in Epidemiology, Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related disciplines. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in epidemiology, data science, data analysis, or data management field. Proficiency in analytics tools such as Python, SQL, and R Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The Helsinki Logic Group is recruiting a PhD student interested in completing a PhD in mathematical logic. The position is part of the research project “Logic and Computation over Semirings” funded by the Academy of Finland, which is led by Professor Juha Kontinen. The position is for a fixed term of 1.9.2026-31.8.2030, with some flexibility regarding the starting date. There will be a trial period of six months at the beginning of the employment. The application deadline is July 31, 2026. Job description The selected candidate will carry out research on the interface between logic and computation in classical and algebraic frameworks. This is an active area within logic in computer science and database theory with many possible research directions. The supervisor will help the selected candidate to choose appropriate research questions and acquire the required skills.  The position is fixed-term with the main purpose of preparing a dissertation related to the project in the Doctoral Programme in Science (SciDoc) of the University of Helsinki. The researcher will write scientific manuscripts on their results for publication in international peer-reviewed conferences and journals. The position includes funding to attend conferences and make research visits abroad. The appointment includes teaching and public engagement duties comprising 10% of the annual working time. Description The Life Molecules & Materials Lab at New York University Abu Dhabi pursuing cutting edge research in the areas of self-organization and function of proteins seeks to recruit a junior research scientist with expertise in quantitative confocal fluorescence microscopy and membrane biochemistry. The lab is currently focused on (1) developing bottom-up approaches to study the role of membrane shape in the function of intracellular organelles such as Golgi Apparatus and (2) understanding the determinants of protein solubility in the crowded intracellular mileu. Our research integrates biochemistry with physical chemistry and soft matter physics, and employs state-of-the-art tools including analytical ultracentrifugation, optical tweezers, confocal fluorescence microscopy, SAXS, NMR spectroscopy, and Raman spectroscopy. Group members receive training at the interface between physics, biology, and materials science, and will have access to generous travel allowances to attend international conferences and engage in scientific collaborations across the globe. Candidates must have a B.S. in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field and should be proficient in basic quantitative microscopy and wet lab biochemistry techniques and have prior experience preparing and manipulating giant unilamellar vesicles. In addition, the successful candidate should demonstrate ability to independently perform quantitative data analysis using MATLAB, Python, or Mathematica etc. Good oral- and written communication skills in English are essential, along with great attention to detail and record-keeping in the lab. The successful applicant will also participate in guiding graduate- and undergraduate students in laboratory experiments and data analysis as well as assisting in drafting research papers and reports.
