Davao Oriental State University is a public higher education institution in the Philippines, located in the province of Davao Oriental in the southeastern part of Mindanao. Its history dates back to 1989 with the establishment of the Davao Oriental State College of Science and Technology, which was later converted into a state university in 2016.
The university operates a multi-campus system, with its main campus in the city of Mati and additional campuses in Banaybanay, Cateel, and San Isidro.
The university is comprised of seven faculties: Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Technology, Faculty of Teacher Education, Faculty of Criminal Justice Education, Faculty of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences and Communication, and the Faculty of Business and Management. Each faculty is divided into different departments, offering a range of both undergraduate and graduate degree programmes.
