Based in Oregon, George Fox University (GFU) is a Christian university focusing on arts, sciences and professional studies. With roots dating back to 1885, the university was originally founded by the Quakers in response to societal changes. 
George Fox grants bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees, which include: accounting, applied science, art, athletic training, biochemistry, psychology, social work, business, education, counselling, physical therapy and seminary. 
The university also participates in the Richter Scholars programme, which sponsors between 15 and 25 students per year to help facilitate original research at George Fox.

The Professional Officers Division (POD) at SIT comprises experienced practitioners and applied researchers who bridge academia and industry. Professional Officers play a critical role in supporting teaching, applied research, laboratory operations, and industry engagement – bringing real-world expertise into SIT’s learning environment and contributing to the university’s applied research mission.

SIT is expanding its quantum-safe communications capabilities, building a team with deep technical expertise in quantum security and cryptographic systems. The Professional Officer in Quantum-Safe Communications & Cybersecurity will contribute to SIT’s mission as a Quantum Hub at Punggol Digital District, supporting the National Quantum-Safe Network (NQSN) and working closely with government agencies and industry partners. Focus areas include:


	Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) – algorithm design, implementation, and migration
	Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) – system integration, deployment, and network operations
	Hybrid PQC-QKD secure network architectures
	Crypto-agility and cryptographic inventory management
	Quantum-safe standards, testing, and certification (ETSI, ITU-T, NIST)


Cybersecurity systems engineering for critical infrastructure

Key Responsibilities


	Design, develop, and deliver laboratory sessions and practice-based modules in Quantum-Safe Communications, Post-Quantum Cryptography, and related areas.
	Lead or co-lead applied research and industry collaboration projects on quantum-safe network deployment, PQC migration, and QKD system integration.
	Support companies in conducting cryptographic inventories to identify vulnerabilities and define migration roadmaps towards quantum-safe solutions (crypto-agility).
	Operate, maintain, and develop SIT’s quantum-safe network testbed infrastructure, including QKD hardware, key management systems (KMS), and hybrid PQC-QKD setups.
	Conduct hands-on testing, validation, and benchmarking of PQC algorithms and QKD systems against relevant standards (NIST FIPS 203/204/205, ETSI GS QKD, ITU-T).
	Secure and manage research grants to support applied research in quantum-safe communications and cybersecurity.
	Supervise and mentor students in applied research projects, Capstone Projects, and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP).
	Contribute to the development of CET/PET course content and learning resources in quantum-safe communications and cybersecurity.
	Engage with Singapore’s quantum ecosystem (NQO, IMDA, CSA, NQSN) and industry partners on standards, interoperability, and applied research.


Job Requirements


	Essential
	
		PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Cybersecurity, Quantum Information, or a closely related field.
		Strong expertise in Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), with demonstrated experience in algorithm design and/or implementation (e.g., ML-KEM/CRYSTALS-Kyber, ML-DSA/CRYSTALS-Dilithium, SLH-DSA/SPHINCS+, FALCON).
		Solid understanding of QKD principles, protocols, and systems (e.g., BB84, E91, CV-QKD), including system-level and operational knowledge.
		Understanding of classical cryptographic primitives and protocols (symmetric/asymmetric encryption, TLS, IPsec, PKI).
		Familiarity with quantum-safe standards and frameworks: NIST PQC (FIPS 203/204/205), ETSI GS QKD, ITU-T X.1702, ISO/IEC.
		Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, or Java; familiarity with cryptographic libraries (liboqs, OpenSSL PQC, BouncyCastle).
		Strong analytical, problem-solving, and hands-on experimental skills.
	
	
	Experience
	
		Industry experience is strongly preferred — candidates from cybersecurity firms, telecom operators, quantum companies, government agencies, or applied R&D labs are particularly encouraged to apply.
		Postdoctoral researchers with strong industry collaboration components (e.g., industry-funded projects, testbed deployments, or technology transfer) will also be considered.
		Fresh PhD graduates with strong applied research outcomes (deployments, industry pilots, standards contributions) may be considered.
	
	
	Preferred / Advantageous
	
		Experience with crypto-agility frameworks and cryptographic inventory management — supporting organisations in identifying cryptographic weaknesses and planning PQC migration.

The Industrial Intelligent Agent Research Center at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, aligned with national smart manufacturing strategies, is committed to building a world-leading technological innovation platform for industrial intelligence. RESEARCH AREAS

1. Industrial AI Algorithm and Autonomous Decision-Making Systems

RESPONSIBILITIES


	Research and develop autonomous decision-making algorithms for process industries (e.g., chemical, pharmaceutical, materials, energy) or discrete manufacturing (e.g., electronics assembly, automotive, home appliances).
	Explore the integration of large language models and reinforcement learning for real-time optimization, fault self-recovery, and production scheduling in industrial processes.
	Publish research results in top-tier international conferences and journals, and participate in applying for domestic and international patents.
	Assist in supervising PhD and Master's students, and participate in the center's collaborative projects with industry partners to promote the industrialization of technology.


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCES


	A Ph.D. (obtained or soon to be obtained) in Computer Science, Automation, Artificial Intelligence, Operations Research, or a related field.
	Solid research background and practical experience in one or more of the following areas:
	
		Reinforcement Learning / Deep Reinforcement Learning
		Fine-tuning and Application of Large Language Models
		Time-Series Data Prediction and Modeling
		Intelligent Decision-Making and Optimization Algorithms
	
	
	Strong programming skills (proficient in Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, etc.).
	Strong intellectual curiosity, ability to solve problems independently, and excellent teamwork spirit.

 2. Industrial Digital Twin and Intelligent Control Systems

RESPONSIBILITIES


	Develop industrial process digital twin models based on the fusion of mechanistic and data-driven approaches.
	Develop predictive maintenance and fault diagnosis algorithms for critical equipment (e.g., compressors, reaction kettles).
	Research advanced process control strategies and deploy them on the center's distributed control systems and edge computing devices.
	Work closely with industry partners to validate and optimize the developed technologies in real industrial environments.
	Publish high-quality academic papers and participate in writing research grant proposals.


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCES


	A Ph.D. (obtained or soon to be obtained) in Control Science and Engineering, Process Control, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
	In-depth research experience and solid expertise in one or more of the following areas:
	
		Advanced Process Control and Optimization
		Digital Twin and Modeling & Simulation
		Predictive Maintenance and Fault Diagnosis
		Industrial IoT and Edge Computing
	
	
	Good programming skills (e.g., Python, MATLAB, C++) and experience with system simulation.
	Experience with industrial field projects or familiarity with DCS/MES systems is preferred.

The position

The University of Vienna is seeking an excellent candidate for a tenure-track position in the field of aerosol modelling. The position is situated within the research area Aerosol Physics and Environmental Physics with great opportunities for research synergies with the existing groups both at the Faculty of Physics and the Faculty of Earth Sciences, Geography and Astronomy. The main research direction is the modelling of aerosol properties over the whole particle size spectrum, complementing existing experimental research at the aerosol group. Possible areas may span from particle microphysics and mixing state to optical, radiative and aerodynamic properties, aerosol-cloud interaction, and transport effects in small and large volumes (e.g., instrumental inlets, atmosphere). Candidates with a strong background in the topical areas of atmospheric aerosol science, aerosol optics, aerosol radiative properties, aerodynamics, irregularly-shaped particles (e.g. mineral dust, volcanic ash, soot, microplastics etc.), and atmospheric aerosol modelling will be preferred. The successful candidate will develop their own line of research, expanding the vibrant research environment of the group and increasing its impact and visibility.

The Aerosol Physics and Environmental Physics (AEP) Group at the Faculty of Physics of the University of Vienna combines laboratory, ground-based and aircraft experiments with innovative modelling to study the fundamental physical and chemical properties of aerosol particles and clouds. Climate, Environment, and Sustainability is one of the University of Vienna’s strategic priorities; the AEP Group’s work supports this priority and actively engages with the University’s Environment and Climate Research Hub, fostering strong interdisciplinary links and collaboration opportunities. Successful candidates are expected to contribute significantly to the faculty program development, and will be responsible in duties including teaching, research, as well as supervision and coordination of student’s professional practice and dissertations.

Job Requirements


	Holder of a Doctoral degree in related field from an accredited institution;
	Applicants currently in the final year of their PhD program will also be considered for the Assistant Professor position;
	Strong academic research ability and clear scientific research planning;
	Able to teach undergraduate or postgraduate course(s) independently;
	Successful experience in supervising undergraduate or postgraduate students;
	Priority considerations will be given to those having a good command of both spoken and written Chinese and English;
	Preference will be given to Macao residents under the same condition.


Remuneration

The remuneration and appointment rank offered will be competitive and commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualifications, current position and professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate in Macao is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
