Gomal University is located in the city of Dera Ismail Khan in Pakistan, and was established in 1974 making it the second oldest university in the region.
There are four campuses as part of the university; the main and city campuses are in the heart of the city, Tank campus is located in Tank city, then the faculty of veterinary and animal sciences is located within the city campus.
Dera Ismail Khan is a small city in the Khyber Pahktunkwa province of Pakistan, situated around 230km northwest of Multan, Punjab.
There are seven main faculties at the university: sciences, arts, agriculture, pharmacy, veterinary and animal sciences, business, and engineering which offer undergraduate and postgraduate courses in subject areas that include economics, chemistry, physics, English, political science, agronomy, plant breeding, and pharmacology.
The university has over 50 affiliated colleges and partners which allows staff and students to learn from and with people from across the world.
