Basic information and contact details for Indian Institute of Management Indore

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore was established in 1996 as part of India’s Indian Institutes of Management system, created to strengthen management education and leadership development across the country. Since its founding, the institute has developed into a centre for teaching, research, and executive education, with a strong emphasis on industry-relevant management practice.

The institute is located in Indore on a 193-acre residential campus in the Rau-Pithampur region of central India.

Academically, the institute offers a range of postgraduate, doctoral, executive, and integrated management programmes. Teaching and research span a wide variety of subject areas including finance, economics, marketing, operations, strategy, information systems, organisational behaviour, and the humanities and social sciences.

Student life is enriched by a fully residential campus environment with participation in clubs, cultural events, sports, and social initiatives. The institute is also known for its ‘Rural Immersion Programme’, in which participants spend a period living in rural villages to gain a better understanding of the local economy and rural consumer behaviour.
