Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Essentially the Uzbek version of Police Academy, the Law Enforcement Academy of Uzbekistan trains personnel in the field of crime investigation, as well as for local and national prosecutors’ offices.
Established in 2022, the Tashkent-based academy replaced a specialist branch of Tashkent State Law University. All the branch’s educational material and staff members were transferred to the new academy.
The academy provides professional development for workers already in these roles, as well as offering undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.
Both sets of degree programmes come under the faculty of law, and focus on investigative activity and prosecutorial activity. In addition, master’s programmes look at anticorruption measures and international human-rights law.

About Us

The UEL Nursing and Midwifery programmes have grown dynamically over the last few years and we are now seeking to recruit to a 1 year FTC Adult Nursing post to cover maternity leave. About You

We invite enthusiastic candidates who are Adult Nursing nurses registered with the NMC in the UK and hold a relevant degree. Candidates must have a strong passion for student-focused teaching, and a clear understanding and respect for the unique needs of the widening participation cohorts of students. The successful applicants will also have excellent knowledge of the professional and academic requirements of UK Higher Education programmes and will be able to contribute to the development of nursing in the university.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be required to module lead the adult nursing practice 3 module and therefore candidates must have relevant experience of 3rd year adult nursing skills and some experience of teaching skills either in clinical practice or an academic setting.

The appointees will be responsible for delivering quality teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Duties include:


	Delivering high-quality teaching and contributing to course design for undergraduate and postgraduate modules;
	Supervising student capstone / projects;
	Driving curriculum development and actively participating in knowledge exchange activities; and
	Contributing effectively to departmental committees and administrative duties.


Those with more than five years of exceptional teaching experience at the tertiary level (or in an equivalent professional setting) who demonstrate superior pedagogical skills and leadership in curriculum design may be considered for appointment as Senior Lecturer.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. We are seeking a Post-doctoral Research Fellow to work on the Velux Fonden project, based at the University of Southampton, on a fixed-term contract initially for 24 months with the opportunity for extension to 36 months.

The Research Fellow will support the development of GIS-based decision-support-tools for spatial planning, and cumulative effects assessment (CEA) of offshore wind (OW). The role will focus on collecting, processing, and harmonising appropriate geospatial data, providing geospatial data insights, and applying appropriate AI models for geospatial analysis based on the integrated data.

This role is part of the project: Decision-support-tools for Spatial Planning and Cumulative Effects Analysis (CEA) of OW in the Greater North Sea Basin (GNSB), funded by the Velux Fonden. The project is cross-disciplinary and delivered by researchers across the University of Southampton through the Southampton Marine and Maritime Institute (SMMI).

We are seeking candidates with a PhD or equivalent professional qualification in civil/maritime/ocean engineering, geography, oceanography, marine sciences, geology, archaeology, or other, with experience in advanced GIS software for data management, processing & analysis, and preferably, interests & knowledge of offshore renewable energy. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing an integrated multi-disciplinary geospatial database across the GNSB and contributing to the creation and evaluation of GIS-based decision-support-tools to ensure functionality, usability, and data accuracy.

The role involves holistic design of decision-support-tools as part of a team with expertise spanning offshore-geotechnical-engineering, marine-ecology, archaeology, and coastal-communities. The role will provide many opportunities to expand the successful applicant’s network, in academia, industry, coastal communities, and policy-making, through project meetings, workshops and conferences.
