The university is located in Rajshahi, a city in Bangladesh. 
The university consists of seven faculties: faculty of arts, faculty of business, faculty of engineering and technology, faculty of law, faculty of pharmacy, faculty of public health, and the faculty of social science. 
There are also 11 departments: business administration, computer science and engineering, economics, electrical and electronic engineering, English, journalism, communication and media studies, law and human rights, pharmacy, political science, public health, and sociology. Each department offers a range of both undergraduate and graduate degree programmes. 
There are a variety of clubs on offer for students to join such as business club, English language club, photographic society, robotic society, and sociology club.

University College Birmingham is seeking to appoint up to 5 Lecturers in English for Academic Purposes (EAP) to support the delivery of Transnational Education (TNE) programmes delivered in partnership with international institutions.

This role focuses on the planning, delivery and assessment of contextualised academic English provision for international students studying on UCB‑validated programmes overseas. The postholder will support students in developing the academic language and study skills required for successful progression into English‑medium higher education, ensuring consistency of standards and alignment with University expectations.

The post is offered on a permanent, fractional basis, equivalent to 0.66 FTE, and includes allocated time for teaching, preparation, assessment and marking activity in support of TNE delivery.

We are looking for committed and experienced EAP practitioners who have:


	Experience teaching English for Academic Purposes in higher education
	Experience supporting international students, ideally within online or transnational contexts
	A DELTA or equivalent Level 7 teaching qualification
	Strong digital literacy and confidence using online learning technologies
	Excellent communication and organisational skills
	A student-centred approach and commitment to high‑quality academic provision


Experience of TNE delivery is desirable, but applicants with strong online EAP experience and interest in international education are encouraged to apply.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled postdoctoral researcher to join our dynamic team in the Sustainable Materials Research Center (SusMat-RC) at UM6P. The successful candidate will work on an exciting project focused on extracting and analyzing experimental and computational data to develop predictive models for polymer-based materials. This project aims to leverage computational chemistry techniques and data-driven approaches to optimize the properties of novel polymer-based materials. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in artificial intelligence and machine learning, with demonstrated experience in developing and training neural networks for predictive modeling.

Position Requirements:

The successful candidate is expected to:


	Build and evaluate chemical databases based on experimental and computational data.
	Establish predictive models based on artificial intelligence methods.
	Utilize the developed models to design and optimize the properties of materials.
	Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including chemists and data scientists.

	Carry out multi-skilled tasks, where relevant, such as (but not restricted to) mechanical isolation and fault finding, electrical isolations, minor carpentry, redecoration repairs linked to maintenance and small works.
	Complete all administrative work associated with departmental management systems, including the completion of work records, timesheets, stores issues, estimates and health & safety records. Utilise Building Logbook to record all maintenance visits and any relevant defective information and repairs. All defects to be reported immediately to the help desk for further action.
	Must be computer literate and work well with computer/tablet systems

Role Description

We welcome applications from talented and motivated researchers with expertise in X-ray and synchrotron imaging to play a leading role in cutting-edge research exploring the structure and function of complex environmental systems.

About the Role

This is a Research Fellow role embedded within a major externally funded research programme in soil science. You will lead the delivery of synchrotron and X-ray imaging components of a UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship, delivering advanced imaging research to understand how pore-scale structure and mineral-carbon interactions control the storage and movement of organic carbon across the soil–bedrock continuum.

The role will involve significant periods based at Diamond Light Source, where you will design and deliver experiments using techniques such as X-ray micro-computed tomography and X-ray Absorption Near Edge Structure (XANES). You will also undertake laboratory-based imaging and develop analytical workflows to process and interpret complex 2D and 3D datasets.

Working closely with the research lead and an interdisciplinary team, you will contribute to research across multiple work packages, including investigating structural changes during weathering and the development of pore networks and carbon distribution during early soil formation. You will be responsible for the design and delivery of imaging experiments, integration of imaging outputs with biological and biogeochemical datasets, and dissemination of findings through high-quality scientific publications and presentations.

About You

You will be educated to doctoral level in Physics, Materials Science, Engineering, Geoscience, Environmental Science or a related discipline, with a strong focus on lab-based or synchrotron CT imaging. You will have experience in designing and delivering imaging experiments, working with complex datasets, and interpreting imaging outputs.

You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and be confident working independently while contributing effectively to an interdisciplinary team. Experience of working at large-scale research facilities such as synchrotrons.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to a range of audiences. You should be able to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outputs to agreed deadlines. Willingness to spend periods working at Diamond Light Source and to travel as required is essential.

Job description:

The International Water Research Institute (IWRI) at University Mohammed VI Polytechnic (UM6P) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher in desalination and water treatment, as part of a funded project supported by OCP Green Water. We seek candidates with demonstrated expertise in seawater desalination pretreatment, particularly in media filtration process. The successful candidate will join a dynamic, collaborative, and interdisciplinary environment with a strong tradition of combining both fundamental and applied research to address real-world water challenges.

Key duties:

Successful candidates are expected to:


	Design and set up a pilot-scale media filtration process for seawater pretreatment prior to desalination, including system configuration and performance validation.
	Develop a comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) protocol for the implemented media filtration system to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
	Organize and conduct field missions, carrying out on-site pilot-scale trials to evaluate the efficiency, robustness, and operational behavior of the seawater pretreatment process under real conditions.
	Collect and analyze operational data, diagnose performance issues, and propose evidence-based corrective measures or process improvements.
	Perform detailed data analysis and interpretation, and prepare high-quality technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal teams, project partners, and the funding agency.
	Contribute to developing research projects and funding applications.
	Disseminate research findings through high-impact publications and participate in international conferences.
	Supervise and mentor undergraduate/graduate students.


Qualifications & requirements:


	PhD degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
	Up to 2 years of relevant experience in desalination and filtration systems of any scale.
	Knowledge of transport phenomena, with emphasis on mass transfer in column filtration systems.
	Hands-on experience with media filtration processes is a strong advantage.
	Experience in water quality analysis for assessing the performance of water treatment processes.
	Proven experience in leading or contributing to research projects is highly desirable.
	Demonstrated ability to generate innovative ideas, build upon existing concepts, and develop novel solutions.
	Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary environments.
	Willingness to travel for fieldwork and project-related activities, with a valid driver’s license required.
	Fluency in English and French, both spoken and written.
