Winona State University (WSU) is a public university established in 1858 as a teachers’ college in Minnesota, US. The institution is the oldest part of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System. WSU has two campuses; one in Winona and one in Rochester.
WSU now offers a broad range of courses within the colleges of business, education, liberal arts, nursing and health sciences, science and engineering.
Beyond academics, there are many student societies and clubs. In addition, the institution hosts festivals, talks, and music, theatre and dance performances, as well as visual art shows and film screenings.
Students can also participate in baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, gymnastics, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball teams.
